12-Month / 12,000-Mile Guarantee
All reconditioned engines supplied by Elite Engines are covered by a 12-month or 12,000-mile guarantee, whichever occurs first, from the date of invoice. This guarantee covers the replacement or repair of any components proven to be defective due to materials or workmanship, at the sole discretion of Elite Engines.
Conditions of Guarantee
To claim under this guarantee, the following conditions must be satisfied:
- The engine must be returned to Elite Engines, at the customer's cost, for inspection and any necessary repair or replacement.
- Proof of purchase, along with a fully stamped and dated service record, must be provided when making a claim.
- The engine must not have been subject to misuse, neglect, overheating, unauthorised modifications, or improper installation.
- Claims arising from the use of substandard, incorrect, or contaminated service parts or lubricants will not be accepted.
- Any unauthorised repairs or external labour carried out without written consent from a company director will invalidate this guarantee.
- This guarantee excludes any form of recovery, third-party charges, vehicle hire, or consequential loss.
- Ongoing servicing and maintenance must follow the vehicle manufacturer’s recommendations during the covered period.
- The customer is responsible for all consumables, including oil, filters, coolant, belts, and other service parts.
- A mandatory 500-mile service must be completed to retain coverage. This includes changing the oil and filter, checking valve clearances (tappets), timing, cooling and fuelling systems. Documentation must be available upon request.
- This guarantee is valid only within the United Kingdom and is non-transferable.
Extended Warranty (Optional)
Elite Engines offers a 24-month or 24,000-mile warranty to customers who meet the following terms:
- The vehicle must be serviced by Elite Engines every six months or 6,000 miles, whichever comes first.
- Failure to meet these service intervals will result in immediate and automatic termination of the extended warranty.
- All standard terms and exclusions listed under the 12-month guarantee remain applicable.
- Proof of continuous servicing by Elite Engines must be presented when making a claim.
- This warranty must be agreed to in writing at the time of purchase and is non-refundable.
Customer Acknowledgement of Terms
By proceeding with the purchase, supply, or installation of an engine or related services from Elite Engines, the customer confirms that they have read, understood, and accepted the terms and conditions outlined in this Guarantee and any associated Extended Warranty.
The customer also acknowledges that:
- This document constitutes a binding agreement between the customer and Elite Engines.
- All requirements and exclusions have been explained prior to sale or installation.
- Claims must be supported by proper documentation. Failure to comply will result in rejection.
A physical copy of this document is provided at the time of sale or installation and should be retained for your records.
